Our Mission
Accesso Care’s mission is to help elders recover at home with dignity, give families peace of mind, and support our caregivers to do their best work.
Our Story
Accesso Care was born in 2023 out of a crisis in care.
Jimmy Zhang spent 16 years in long-term care facilities. He watched caregivers leave in record numbers: exhausted, undervalued, and overworked. When caregivers left, elders paid the price. Families lost the steady, familiar faces their loved ones depended on. Something had to change.
In 2024, his wife and partner, Dr. Esther Castillo, stepped in as CEO. Esther holds a PhD in Sociology. She has spent her career across government, nonprofits, and academia, building programs that treat people with dignity. During COVID-19, she led a city vaccination effort that reached more than 6,000 Philadelphians, and she was named to the region’s AAPI Power 100. She serves on the board of the Scattergood Foundation and works with city and state leaders on more equitable systems of care.
Today, Accesso Care exists to hold people through life’s most vulnerable moments. These are the transitions that test us, humble us, and remind us how much we need each other.
We began with elders coming home from the hospital. We keep growing from there, following what families need. We serve Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware counties. We are local, family-owned, and built on community, trust, and dignity.
We invest in our caregivers with training, mentorship, and support, because care is only as good as the people who give it. And we believe the people in our care deserve more than a service. They deserve presence.

Our Values
Dignity
Treated like a person, not a patient.
Care is a partnership, not a transaction. Your loved one stays in charge of their life. We make decisions together, with them and with you.
Trust
We know who we send.
We don’t hire strangers off job boards. Every caregiver comes to us through people we know and trust. We check character, not just identity.
Community
No one does this alone.
Care falls apart when people are isolated. We stand behind our caregivers so they can grow, and we work closely with families to keep care steady.
